There are those for whom the perfect holiday means doing nothing more than relaxing by the pool, and those for whom the perfect holiday is about exploring something new every day.  We hope our Loire Valley Retreat really can cater to both extremes as well as those who find themselves somewhere in between!

On site at Château de Chargé you will find a spacious and secluded garden set in 6 acres of crop-land with a heated outdoor swimming pool, childrens' play area, and miles of rolling farmland around for walking and cycling (bicycles available to hire locally).

Throughout the seasons, the surrounding countryside has plenty to offer to painters, walkers, cyclists, hunters and those wishing to experience the grape harvest.  See the tabs below for more specific information on the famous Royal Châteaux of the Loire Valley, the wine producers of the region, gastronomic delights awaiting foodie guests and of course, myriad ways of entertaining the youngsters!
